The Power of Commitment

Updated: Jan 31, 2023

I invite you to revisit your commitment energy. You wrote the script. Now explore before you emerge once again.

Before you launch anything, be it a business, a goal, or even yourself, give yourself a chance. A chance to revisit commitment. Are you commitment phobic?

As you get ready to fly, let yourself take your time, disengaging from the cocoon.

You may still be in the past. Revisit and review your attachments to see if they are worthy of your time and energy.

Contractions need rest in between. Exhaustion happens after a war. It is your chance to revisit your commitments during the pause. Explore the power of your commitments. Are your commitments presently working for you?

You can dream LifeStar!

  • What is your vision for this next cycle/season?

  • Where do you want to be a year from now in your job, relationship, environment, health?

Building a new life means looking forward.

You cannot know where you are going by looking in the rearview mirror. Look back only to back up, correct course, and get clear on where you are going.

We have done the "hindsight is 2020" piece.

The theme for 2021 is to transition into transformation.

Follow the lunar cycles and take your time waning before your waxing time to get clear on your commitments in your personal and professional worlds.

To grow your dreams, write them down. Think of them and visualize. Feel them alive in your body.

Here is one of my most favorite quotes about commitment from the Scottish Himalayan Expedition by W.H. Murray:

"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one commits oneself, providence moves too. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings, and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I learned a deep respect for one of Goethe's couplets:
Whatever you can do or dream, you can begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!' - W.H. Murray.

Leave room for the magic!
